passed away Sunday, April 23, 2017 at his home in À¶Ý®ÊÓƵ. Jim served as Chair of the Department of Statistics (now Statistics and Actuarial Science) from 1975-79. He was Dean of the Faculty of Mathematics from 1986 - 1989, leaving that position to serve as Associate Provost, Academic Affairs from 1990-1993 and then Vice-President Academic and Provost from 1993 – 2000.
