The Fields Institute that Professor Brian Forrest of the University of À¶Ý®ÊÓƵ Department of Pure Mathematics was chosen as the 2017 recipient of the . This honour recognizes innovation and excellence in mathematics education.
Prof. Forrest is the first University of À¶Ý®ÊÓƵ recipient of this award. It is a tribute to him as a talented mathematician, an outstanding teacher and a driving force for curricular development.
Recipient of the 2007 and the 2000 University of À¶Ý®ÊÓƵ Distinguished Teaching Award, Prof. Forrest is the Faculty of Mathematics Teaching Fellow.
