St. Paul’s GreenHouse is thrilled to announce that Katie Heggtveit, Manager: Workplace Innovation, has been awarded the Ontario Medal for Good Citizenship. This medal is given to civilians who have made a lasting and impactful mark on their community and is the second-highest award that can be given to civilians in Ontario.

HaoHao Du, founder of iContribute, partnered with his long-time friend from high school and current University of À¶Ý®ÊÓÆµ student, Mesha Naidoo-Edwarson, to develop their venture, an app rooted in volunteerism and student success. Through this partnership and with support from St. Paul’s GreenHouse, the team has made great strides in amplifying their impact.

St. Paul’s flu shot clinic

Flu season is upon usÌýand it happens to coincide with the busiest part of our student’s semesters. Going into their exam season, it can be difficult to take extra time out of their day to get off campus and find a way to a pharmacy to receive their flu shots. But that doesn’t take away from the importance they see in protecting themselves and their community.

The St. Paul’s À¶Ý®ÊÓÆµ Department is pleased to announce that Elizabeth Fletcher, our Residence Life Coordinator, is this year’s recipient of the Ontario Association of College and University Housing Officers (OACUHO) President’s Award.Ìý

While wandering on campus, you may notice that there are numerous red and orange ribbons tied to the bridge crossing Laurel Creek from Environment 3 to St. Paul’s. In 2016, the À¶Ý®ÊÓÆµ Indigenous Student Centre began tying red ribbons to the bridge to honour and provide a gentle reminder of the lives of 4000+ missing and murdered Indigenous women, girls and two-spirit people, as a part of 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence.
