Welcome to United College

United College offers residence, academic courses, and learning opportunities to students at the University of ݮƵ. We are affiliated with the University and are located on its main campus.

University of ݮƵ courses are taught at United, including courses inInternational DevelopmentMasterof Development PracticeDz,Indigenous studies, Indigenous Entrepreneurship,Human rights, Religious studies and Canadian studies.

At United you can also find theݮƵ Indigenous Student Centre, andGreenHouse, a social impact incubator that offers programs, opportunities and a community for students to develop problem-solving skills, form innovative ideas and make new forms of sustainable impact around social or environmental change.

Many ݮƵ students – both undergraduate and graduate – choose to live at United. Some come here for the community, some for the learning experience, and some to be part of special communities like the Environment Living Learning Community (LLC)Women in Engineering LLC, and La Bastille the French-speaking residence community.

“I feel as if I've received a new pair of glasses to view the world around me.” That’s how one student described their experience in the Social Innovation and Impact Minor, United College’s newest minor program, now completing its first full year. Launched to support student changemakers eager to tackle pressing societal challenges, the minor has already seen students dive into projects focused on food security, circular systems for plastic production and consumption, and more.

For Isabella Mills, the University of ݮƵ wasn’t just a place to study, it became a second home through her five year stay at United College. As she prepares to graduate this spring with a degree in English, she reflects on the journey that brought her to the College and the experiences that have shaped her along the way.
