Just prior to coming to the University of À¶Ý®ÊÓƵ, Alex wrote out her personal goals for the coming year. The first goal was to "Go to À¶Ý®ÊÓƵ and shine."ÌýAnd shine she did! During her time at the University of À¶Ý®ÊÓƵ, Alex left an indelible mark on countless students, faculty and staff and we thank you for helping us to honour her memory in a lasting and meaningful way.
The Alex Foto MemorialÌýFund supports fourth-year International DevelopmentÌýstudents that careÌýdeeply, like Alex did, about humanitarian and poverty issues.Ìý
Thanks to the generous support of Alex's family and friends and members of the United College community,ÌýtheÌýFund is endowed with theÌýnecessary capital to provide an annual award of $1,000. The first recipient of the Award will be named in August 2016 prior to their eight-month overseas field placement.
