CTE is proud to announce that a project led by Monica Vesely (Educational Developer, Faculty Programs and Consulting) has received funding as part of (VLS). The VLS supports initiatives that will provide students with more flexibility and access to high-quality postsecondary education and retraining opportunities.
Since its inception in 1975, over 150 Distinguished Teacher Awards (DTAs) have been awarded to exemplary instructors at the University of ݮƵ. The DTA is awarded to four instructors annually at the March meeting of Senate.

The Amit & Meena Chakma Award for Exceptional Teaching by a Student (AETS) awards are open to all students who have a formal teaching role at the University of ݮƵ. Up to four awards are given annually.

We are pleased to announce that registration is open for our 12thԲԳܲUniversity of ݮƵ Teaching and Learning Conference taking place on April 28 & April 29, 2021. Because the COVID-19 pandemic forced the cancellation of our 2020 conference, we will be proceeding with the theme of “Learning Through Assessment” that we had planned for that year.

If you’ve ever seen someone doing what the young man above is doing, then you’ve seen someone immersed in virtual reality (VR). To an outside observer, it looks kind of strange. But to the person wearing the headset, it can be an intense and absorbing experience that allows you to see and “do” things you that you can’t easily do in the real world.
