Rod Barr Fellowship Recipient: Katherine Fouzie
The Rod Barr Fellowship is for a returning student in any academic field who has contributed to the life of the College. Rod Barr was a resident of the College in the 1960s. He went on to become a nationally recognized leader in the field of accounting. In 2009, Mr.
Bob Rosehart Fellowship Recipient: Olivia Graham
The Bob Rosehart Fellowship is for a returning student in Engineering who has contributed to the life of the College. Bob Rosehart was a resident at St. Paul’s in the very first year it opened. He holds a doctorate in Engineering and has had a very distinguished career in university administration, including appointments as president of Lakehead University and president of Wilfrid Laurier University. Bob Rosehart also spent over a decade on the Board of St. Paul’s, including a term as chair.
Social Innovation and Impact Minor News
This January the Social Innovation and Impact Minor was featured in a news article in The Record. The Social Innovation and Impact minor is designed to help students combine their passion for creating social impact with their academic studies.Ìý
Through the Minor, students from various faculties—including arts, engineering, and environment—can earn academic credit while working on real-world projects that tackle issues like mental health, climate change, and more. The program combines theoretical learning with hands-on experience, giving students the tools to become active problem-solvers and leaders in today’s rapidly changing world. New food services at St. Paul’s
Watson’s Eatery is excited to announce it is now home to a new food service provider, as St. Paul’s University College has started a partnership with on April 29, 2021, for a three-year term.
Student supports thrive at St. Paul’s
For many, starting your first year of university can be an intimidating, overwhelming, but very exciting time in your life. To ease the transition period between high school and university, many Living Learning Communities (LLC) have been created in the residence buildings at UÀ¶Ý®ÊÓÆµ.
Various LLCs are housed across the residences on campus to allow students studying in the same Faculty or academic cluster to live near one another. St. Paul’s is home to the Faculty of Engineering LLC, Financial Analysis and Risk Management LLC and Women in Engineering LLC.
We caught up with some former students from the Women in Engineering LLC to learn what their experience living at the College with their classmates looked like.
