United College Welcomes Future Warriors at You @ À¶Ý®ÊÓƵ Day
by Davandra Earle, Communications Officer
It’s that time of year again, when future University of À¶Ý®ÊÓƵ students are exploring their options and imagining where they’ll call home this fall.
Last Saturday at You @ À¶Ý®ÊÓƵ Day, United College was filled with excitement as we welcomed more than 50 families for a firsthand look at residence life. From our one-of-a-kind rooms and refreshed student spaces to our tight-knit community and central campus location, visitors had the opportunity to see what makes United College such a unique and welcoming place to live and learn.
Throughout the day, staff, current students, and alumni volunteers were on hand to lead tours, answer questions, and share what it’s really like to be part of the United College community.
Principal Richard Myers, who greeted several families personally, reflected on the energy of the day:
“This is one of my favourite events of the year. There’s nothing like seeing future students walk through our halls, ask thoughtful questions, and picture themselves living and learning here. United College is more than a residence, it’s a home. And it’s exciting to imagine how each new student will contribute to our community. We look forward to welcoming many of them back in the fall.â€
A heartfelt thank-you goes out to all the families who stopped by, and to our incredible student ambassadors and staff who brought the day to life with warmth, energy, and United College pride.
We can’t wait to welcome our newest cohort of residents this September.
