DeidreÌýDewar (she/her) is an Indigenous woman from Lac Seul First Nation, Treaty Three Territory in Northwestern Ontario.ÌýDeidre’s education includes a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the I.H. Asper School of Business where she double majored in HRIR and Indigenous Business Studies.ÌýDeidreÌýalso holds a Business Administration diploma from Red River College Polytechnic (RRC), where she focused on marketing, entrepreneurship and human resource management.

DeidreÌýis a recipient of the applied management award (Indigenous) at RRC Polytechnic (2020). A member of the Indigenous Business Education Partners (IBEP) at the I.H. Asper School of Business, past Vice President for the University of Manitoba Indigenous Commerce Students (UMICS) association (2021), and part of cohort 4 for the Presidents Student Leadership Program (2022) at the University of Manitoba.

Deidre’s past experience includes working with theÌý, at the Ted Rogers School of Management on numerous projects including theÌýWEKH), supporting Indigenous women in business and, theÌý, a national challenge to advance gender parity and increase diversity on boards and/or in senior management roles.

DeidreÌýis currently working with Indigenous owned businesses such asÌý, an Indigenous led, Winnipeg based design and marketing agency specializing in client centred services and,Ìý, a First Nation Indigenous woman owned business, that delivers quality skincare products to customers.
