Final examinations are assessments that help universities check how well you understand the material, know the concepts, and can apply your skills in a particular subject. They’re usually an important part of your grade and play a big role in determining how you progress in a course and what your final grade will be.Ìý
Final examinations
It's important not to make any travel, employment, or other commitments for the Final Examination Period until your final examination schedule is released, typically at the end of the first month of each term.
Spring 2025 final examinations
- Final Examination Period: August 5 – August 18, 2025
- In-person final examination days for online courses: August 8 - 9, 2025
- Proctored final examination dates: August 8 - 11, 2025
Final examination time slots
- Morning: 9 a.m. – 11:30 a.m.
- Midday: 12:30 p.m. - 3 p.m.
- Afternoon: 4 p.m. – 6:30 p.m.
- Evening: 7:30 p.m. – 10 p.m.

Each final examination must be completed within a maximum of 2.5 hours unless otherwise specified.
- If an instructor schedules aÌýfinal examination during the formal Final Examination Period outside the listed times, they must offer an alternative time for any students who need it, within the regular final examination time frame slots.
Unless otherwise specified, all sections of a course listed on theÌýfinal examination schedule are expected to write the final examination at the designated time and location. For any course sections not listed in the main timetable, individual scheduling will be arranged by the academic unit. Confirm specific details with your instructor if your section or course does not appear on the main schedule.
