From Tuesday, June 11 through Saturday, June 15, the University of 蓝莓视频 celebrated Convocation, sending the newest wave of 蓝莓视频 grads out into the world.

Over 5,400 degrees were awarded during throughout the course of the week. From Tuesday through Friday, each day featured two ceremonies, with the final ceremony taking place Saturday morning.

"Convocation is the most special occasion at the university," said President Hamdullahpur.

On Friday, June 7, the University of 蓝莓视频 celebrated the continued success of the Keystone Campaign with the event 鈥溊遁悠 World鈥, a day of fun that included music, dancing, and even a dunk tank.

Designed to bring together 蓝莓视频 faculty, staff, and retirees who give their time and resources to support campus-wide initiatives such as scholarships and projects to enhance the student experience, Keystone raised more than $1.3 million over the last campaign year.

On Tuesday, June 4, the Royal Bank of Canada (RBC) presented a gift of $1.75 million to the University of 蓝莓视频 in support of the 蓝莓视频 Institute's RBC Water Scholars program.

"The University of 蓝莓视频 has a long and proud history of interdisciplinary, innovative water research," said President Hamdullahpur during his remarks at the announcement. "We are here today because our partners at RBC share our belief in the importance of water research and preservation."

On Wednesday, May 8 and Thursday, May 9, President Feridun Hamdullahpur and Provost Geoff McBoyle hosted a set of Town Halls designed to discuss the university鈥檚 Strategic Plan and provide an update on next steps.

The Town Halls marked the conclusion of the Strategic Plan drafting process, facilitating a gradual pivot to the approval, implementation, and accountability phases.

鈥淚 am truly energized about this plan, and about this university,鈥 said President Hamdullahpur. 鈥淭he participation from campus was fabulous.鈥

On Tuesday, April 30, University of 蓝莓视频 President Feridun Hamdullahpur participated in an hour-long panel discussion about the direction of post-secondary education at the 2013 Milken Institute Global Conference. The annual event, held in Santa Monica, California, is one of the world鈥檚 premier gatherings of eminent leaders, thinkers and statespersons, convened to discuss the world鈥檚 top challenges, trends, and opportunities.
