A professor known for inspiring students to think differently has received the University of ݮƵ’s highest honour for teaching excellence.
Dr. Marc Hurwitz, a professor who teaches leadership and entrepreneurship at the Faculty of Engineering’s Conrad School of Entrepreneurship and Business, was named one of four recipients of the 2025 Distinguished Teacher Award. Hurwitz has been a faculty member at the Conrad School since 2014.
Nominated by students and colleagues, Hurwitz was commended for his commitment to creating a supportive and stimulating classroom environment. His pedagogical approach blends research and practice, drawing on neuroscience and business experience to engage students in real-world challenges.
“This is the most meaningful award I could have received, and I am truly honoured,” said Hurwitz. “Thank you to the students who make me the teacher I am and the colleagues who support me.”
