
Funding available for engineering student venturesÂ
There are entrepreneurship funds/programs that engineering students can apply to assist with new venture creation and/or Capstone project goals. These programs are generously supported by alumni, faculty, staff, industry and friends.
Engineer of the Future Fund
With the support of our alumni in Canada and abroad, the Dean of Engineering has created a first in Canada the Engineer of the Future Fund – a pool of discretionary micro-seed funding for budding entrepreneurs at À¶Ý®ÊÓÆµ Engineering.
Norman Esch Entrepreneurship Award
The Norman Esch Entrepreneurship Award provides a minimum of six awards, ranging in value from $5,000 -$10,000 each, for student teams enrolled in the Faculty of Engineering's Fourth-Year Capstone Design ±Ê°ù´ÇÂá±ð³¦³Ù.Ìý
Palihapitiya Venture Creation Fund
Available to all À¶Ý®ÊÓÆµ Engineering departments, the Palihapitiya Venture Creation Fund provides two $50,000 awards to university-selected Capstone Design teams whose intention is to transform their Capstone Design project into a promising startup.Â
