Registration is open for a free workshop to help male À¶Ý®ÊÓƵ Engineering students become leaders in creating a safer campus for everyone.
One of seven similar events being held across campus as part of HeForShe initiatives at the University of À¶Ý®ÊÓƵ, the Men’s Circle for engineering students will use interactive exercises and discussions to unpack harmful constructs of masculinity and increase understanding of the impact of behaviour.
The workshop - to be held in room #3356 in Engineering 2 from noon to 1:30 p.m. on Oct. 23 - will also explore the relations of power involved in sexual violence and sketch men’s roles in fostering gender equity on campus.
Open to all male-identifying students, the event will include free food and beverages.
