The 2014 IBM Conference Best Technology Showcase Award was recently awarded to three electrical and computer engineers for their work entitled A Dynamic Markov Game for Decision Making in Self-Protecting Software.
Mahsa Emami-Taba, a PhD student, Mehdi Amoui, a postdoctoral fellow, and Ladan Tahvildari, an ECE professor,Ìý·É±ð°ù±ðÌýhonoured for their work at CASCON 2014,Ìý³Ù³ó±ð 24th International Conference hosted by the Centre for Advanced Studies (CAS) Research, IBM Canada Software Laboratory.
Emami-Taba and Amoui are members of ECE's Software Technologies Applied Research ( laboratory, which is led by °Õ²¹³ó±¹¾±±ô»å²¹°ù¾±.ÌýSTAR’s goal is to design and implement new methodologies and tools to develop higher quality and cost effective software systems.
The À¶Ý®ÊÓÆµ engineers' winning entry looked at the complicated and dynamic application-layer attacks that are a major threat to software systems these days.Â
