This January saw the À¶Ý®ÊÓƵ Engineering community come together to celebrate a year of excellence in teaching, research and service.

Hosted by Dean Mary Wells, 2024 À¶Ý®ÊÓƵ Engineering Faculty & Staff Awards Dinner the event saw individuals receive awards for teaching excellence, success in research and recognised the contribution of staff members to the Faculty. The ceremony was also a chance to acknowledge important regional, national and international awards won by Engineering faculty, highlighting the impact of the work done by À¶Ý®ÊÓƵ based educators and researchers in the past year.

The recipients of the internal faculty awards this year are:

• Judy Caron (Chemical Engineering) – Faculty Outstanding Staff Performance Award

• Richard Barber (Electrical and Computer Engineering) – Faculty Outstanding Staff Performance Award
• Mahla Poudineh (Electrical and Computer Engineering) – Faculty Research Excellence Award
• Carmen Caradima (Electrical and Computer Engineering) – Pearl Sullivan Outstanding Staff Teaching Award
• Simarjeet Saini (Electrical and Computer Engineering) – Teaching Excellence Award
• Bill Bishop (Electrical and Computer Engineering) – Unsung Hero Award
• Daniel Delattre (Engineering Computing) – Faculty Outstanding Staff Performance Award
• George Lamont (Faculty of Arts) – Teaching Excellence Award
• Sibel Alumur Alev (Management Science and Engineering) – Faculty Research Excellence Award
• Adrian Gerlich (Mechanical and Mechatronics Engineering) – Award of Excellence in Grad Supervision
