Dual PhD Degree Programs

One thesis, two doctoral degrees

Dual degree programs provide an opportunity for students to enjoy the benefits of a À¶Ý®ÊÓƵ Engineering doctoral program combined with another leading Engineering school. We are currently working with several international universities to offer programming at the PhD level.

Dual PhD degrees (cotutelle) are issued when one doctoral dissertation is used to fulfil the requirements for a doctorate in two different universities in two different countries.

At present, the University of À¶Ý®ÊÓƵ has partnered in a cotutelle with , France.

Steps to getting a dual PhD degree

  1. at your home institution who may also know a potential co-supervisor at the partner university. (2 supervisors)

  3. Apply to the doctoral program at the University of À¶Ý®ÊÓƵ.Ìý
  4. Apply to the doctoral program at the selected partner university.
  5. Submit all required documentation, including a cotutelle agreement template.Ìý
  6. Once admitted, complete all University of À¶Ý®ÊÓƵ and partner university degree requirements, including one thesis.
  7. Defend your thesis (this is normally arranged at your home institution)
