On Wednesday January 25, 2033 at 12:45pm in the Auditorium, Elder In Residence William Woodworth of the Bear Clan, Mohawk, Six Nations of the Grand River. will be speaking on the role and nature of a native Elder based on his experience with Chief Jacob Thomas, perhaps the most important Haudenosaunee Elder of the twentieth century.

His new role at the School of Architecture is to offer teaching and counselling to students and faculty from the native perspective.

Please join us in-person or on Zoom for a discussion on the current state of the agricultural ammonia market, the pressure for green ammonia solutions, and the demand for independent hydrogen production at the farm level. The focus will also be on the needs analysis in the rural and remote communities and the obstacles faced, including supply chain and resource challenges.

Join Palitronica and the Cybersecurity and Privacy Institute in a hackathon competition to engage with a malicious USB device and raise awareness about the threats posed by "rubber ducky" technology. Form a team of 2-3 people, teams will have the opportunity to compete for prize money and work on developing their skills in the field of cybersecurity and privacy.

Join Elaine Gómez as she will describe the importance of representation in games and digital media. She will speak to how gaming has the power to destroy the perpetuation of stereotypical perceptions and will explain how games can be designed to create social impact in meaningful ways.

Hosted by the Centre for Bioengineering and Biotechnology (CBB) at the University of À¶Ý®ÊÓƵ, our goal is to explore the use of technology for safe and accessible health care by examining the status of virtual delivery of care, enabling emerging technologies, and ensuring ethical and safe interventions for the betterment of our society and improved public health outcomes.

Join Dr. Katta Spiel as they explore the relationship between disability and play. Using the theory on the surrogate body in play, they illustrate how it can be instrumental to critically engage with norms governing digital play and identifying design opportunities playing with said bodily norms to holistically cater to disabled audiences. They do so by focusing on the critical analytical category of disability not just through an access oriented lens per se, but rather to bring principles of disability justice to play.

Join us for a hybrid panel with three researchers about their work and research in Accessibility in Digital Games and Virtual Reality. The panel will include Triskal deHaven, Dr. Katta Spiel, and Dr. Cayley McArthur. Triskal deHaven will lead the panel with frequently asked questions about Virtual Reality and Accessibility, research studies within higher level education, and some of the gaps in Accessibility that students could pursue. Students are encouraged to ask their own questions about these topics during the event.
