��ݮ��Ƶ Engineering students and alumni are invited to participate in an exclusive in-person workshop with ��ݮ��Ƶ Engineering alumnus Ron Ojanpera (BASc 1969, mechanical engineering). The “Working the Room” workshop is based on 50 years of Ron’s personal business experience.  

Women in AI & Robotics and the RoboHub at the University of ��ݮ��Ƶ have co-organized a fantastic networking and educational opportunity for the Robotics community.

This event brings together students, researchers, and industry professionals in the field of robotics to promote collaboration and knowledge sharing.

Participants will engage in discussions, share research findings, and explore cutting-edge developments in robotics technology.

Our aim is to foster cross-sector networking, allowing students to learn from leading researchers and industry experts. The event will feature presentations by researchers and industry professionals, followed by a panel discussion on the transformative potential of robotics to benefit society and create a technologically advanced and sustainable future. While Women in AI & Robotics' focus is on increasing women-identifying representation, the event is open and free to attend for everyone, regardless of gender.

��ݮ��Ƶ Engineering students and alumni are invited to participate in an exclusive virtual Office Hour with ��ݮ��Ƶ Engineering alumni Tom Dean (BASc '79, mechanical engineering), director of technical operations in the Department of Chemical Engineering from 2012 to 2022, to talk about successfully navigating the various steps to obtain your next full-time job in a technical field. Tom has been an engineering hiring manager for the past 35 years and has been coaching chemical engineering undergraduate students on the hiring process for the past decade, prior to retiring four months

��ݮ��Ƶ Engineering students and alumni are invited to participate in an exclusive virtual Office Hour with ��ݮ��Ƶ Engineering alumni Shawn Freeman (MMSc ‘14, management sciences), mentor, tech expert and entrepreneur, to learn about leadership and the various stages of a start-up: transitioning from an employee to owning a business, scaling it, selling and then exiting.

Change can happen at any level - from the choices that individuals make on a daily basis to the commitments that large organizations make towards a more sustainable future.
