Biography
Today, Artem Avdacev is a co-founder atÌý, a YCombinator backed startup teaching robots how to see using a virtual world (sort-of like the Matrix!). Start-up life is a non-stop adventure.
In a past life, Artem ran Yelp's Trust and Safety team of 25 engineers and data scientists that used machine learning to detect fake reviews, fraud, and abuse online. Over his 7-year term at Yelp, he helped grow the technical team from 40 to 800+ engineers, PMs, and Data Scientists.
He also crossed the Pacific Ocean on a 4-person sailboat, spent a year at sea, and likes obscure musical instruments.
