You're invited to indulge in a slice of Canada in Seattle! Held at the headquarters of , the evening features reminiscing about Canada and À¶Ý®ÊÓÆµ and celebrating Canada's 150th birthday and UÀ¶Ý®ÊÓÆµ's 60th birthday with Canadian-inspired food and Canadian prizes! This event is open to all engineering and math alumni and current engineering and math students living/working in the Seattle area.

This event is hosted, in partnership with FLEXE, by  (BASc 2005, Computer Engineering), co-founder and COO at FLEXE. Edmond and FLEXE co-founder and CTO, , will do a tech talk titled The Startup - There and Back Again touching on areas of their experience of building a startup in Seattle, San Francisco and Vancouver, challenges of attracting and keeping tech talent in each city, joining YCombinator and the advantages of being part of an incubator, starting a company as a Canadian without permanent residence in the USA, as well as visa and immigration challenges.

You will have an opportunity to catch up with your classmates from À¶Ý®ÊÓÆµ Engineering and À¶Ý®ÊÓÆµ Math as well as current undergraduate engineering and math students currently on their work terms in the Seattle area.Â
