  • This scholarship was established by the friends and family of the late Bob Graham, an Associate Professor in Recreation and Leisure Studies, and a doctoral student in the School of Planning.

  • Up to one Faculty of Health Teaching Assistant AwardÌývalued at $500 will be offered in each of the School of Public Health Sciences, Department of Kinesiology and Health Sciences, and Department of Recreation and Leisure Studies per term.

  • This award is intended to provide financial support for full-time graduate students who acquire experience as a Teaching Assistant during the course of their graduate degree program.

  • The Kitchener-À¶Ý®ÊÓÆµ Third Age Learning Bursary will be awarded annually. The bursary will be awarded to students in the Faculty of HealthÌýwho are engaged in gerontology studies, who have financial need.

  • The Lyle S. Hallman Graduate Research Scholarship has been established for a student entering a graduate studies program in Health.

  • Students in the Master of Public Service (MPS) program who have arranged an internship are eligible to be considered for this award, valued at a maximum of $3,000.Ìý

  • One scholarship, valued at $6,000, will be awarded annually to a graduate student registered full time in a master's or doctoral program in the Faculty of Health.

  • In 2004, Dr. Ron Schlegel, former faculty member and long-time friend and supporter of the University of À¶Ý®ÊÓÆµ, established an annual research award for students studying in the area of aging within the graduate program in Health.Ìý

  • This scholarship will be awarded annually to a full-time graduate student registered in the Faculty of Health on the basis of scholastic excellence and a demonstrated interest in research related to aging and older populations, including Alzheimer's disease and dementia.

  • This scholarship will be used to enhance external scholarships likeÌýOntario Graduate Scholarship (OGS),andÌýNatural Sciences and Engineering Research Council (NSERC).
