What does this priority area mean?

  • The Wellness Collaborative recognizes that there is a lot of important work currently being done through the Committee on Student Mental Health to address mental health at all levels of our institution.
  • Alongside this work, the Wellness Collaborative will work to address mental wellness of all individuals at the University of À¶Ý®ÊÓƵ, including staff, faculty and CUPE members. This work will focus on creating a culture of help-seeking behaviours. In order to shift norms for help-seeking we needed to increase mental health literacy and supporting a culture of resilience of our university community.
  • Work is currently underway to develop a mental health literacy certificate program for faculty and staff, as well as university-wide committee on Resilience that has created a common definition of resilience.
