June 20 is World Refugee Day, it celebrates the courage and strength of those who have been forced to flee their home country and escape conflict or persecution.

“St. Paul's is proud to play a lead role in the management of the Student Refugee Program (SRP),” said Richard Myers, Principal. “Support for refugees aligns closely with both our academic programming in International Development and our overall institutional mission.

In recognition of Pride Month, St. Paul’s proudly flies the Pride flag in��celebration of the many achievements and contributions of the LGBTQ2S+ community.

One of ��ݮ��Ƶ Region’s largest hospitals is finding extra hospital bed capacity at a local college.

St. Paul’s University College has agreed to provide Grand River Hospital (GRH) with 84 private rooms to house non-urgent patients currently housed at the hospital.����

"We know that hospitals around the world are concerned about their capacity to accommodate the growing number of patients during the COVID-19 pandemic,” said Richard Myers, St. Paul’s Principal. “St. Paul’s is happy to do its part to ensure our hospitals have the resources they need during this extraordinary period.”

Like so many ��ݮ��Ƶ grads, Cameron Turner (BMath ’02)��met his wife Tanya Morose (BSC ’02, MSC ’07) while living at St. Paul’s for two years beginning in fall of 1997,��learn how they are working on the front lines of the COVID-19 pandemic and doing��their parts to help minimize impacts and disruption.��

On February 22, fascinating and engaging presenters hit the stage to share their passions and discuss their visions for the world at TEDxKitchenerED. ��

Of the 11 presenters, one was our very own Lori Campbell, Director of ��ݮ��Ƶ Indigenous Student Centre (WISC) and another was Max Kakekagumick, a high school student from Fort Hope, Ontario, who participated in the first Leadership Entrepreneurship and DesignThinking (LEAD) camp offered by St. Paul’s last May.

Lynne Murdoch, Founder of VOYHS and GreenHouse student is one of four ventures that won the Velocity Fund 5K Finals on July 18th, 2019.��

Lupus is a tricky illness that looks very different in different people, but one key similarity is that the disease can have significant effects on the working life of those living with lupus, with related economic impact.

Andrea Santi (BES ’12) loves basketball. The sport has been a part of her life for as long as she can remember. She plays, she refs and she’s even a time-keeper for the KW Titans of the semi-pro National Basketball League of Canada. She is also a massive supporter of the Toronto Raptors.

Congratulations are in order for young alumnus and former St. Paul’s employee André Moreau for completing a double degree in Law at McGill with distinction.
