Two of our dedicated community leaders, Erin Hogan and Lily Viggiano, have been recognized with Youth Ally Awards for their exceptional contributions to youth empowerment and environmental advocacy.
The pair were celebrated for their work at the recently held City of Kitchener鈥檚 Youth Action Council Awards, for their unwavering commitment to uplifting youth voices.
Joshua Taylor-Deltor accepted the awards on behalf of Erin and Lily, who were both unable to attend the ceremony.
Erin and Lily, both part of the GreenHouse social innovation community, have consistently gone above and beyond their professional roles, mentoring young people engaged in climate action and social justice initiatives. Their efforts extend well beyond office hours, regularly attend youth-led events, offer one-on-one support, and advocate for meaningful youth inclusion in decision-making processes.
鈥淭hese awards are a reflection of Erin and Lily鈥檚 deep, authentic commitment to youth. They don鈥檛 just support youth from the sidelines, they walk beside them, championing their ideas, building their confidence, and helping turn bold visions into real impact,鈥 said Director of GreenHouse Tania Del Matto.
Known for centering youth needs and aspirations in everything they do, Erin and Lily have become trusted mentors and allies. Their ethic of service and passion for community have helped cultivate a generation of young leaders ready to take on today鈥檚 most pressing environmental and social challenges.
Their recognition with the Youth Ally Award is a testament to the transformative power of mentorship and the importance of supporting youth-led innovation.
