Changes to in-person final examinations for online courses
Beginning in spring 2025, there will be updates to how in-person final examinations are arranged for online courses.
What’s changing:
- Students will be responsible for arranging examinations.
Those writing at an external examination centre or with a proctor will need to contact the provider directly to schedule the examination date and time. - Students will cover any associated costs.
The University will no longer pay fees related to off-campus examination centres or proctoring services. All related expenses, including cancellation or rescheduling fees, will be the responsibility of the student.
For examinations written on the À¶Ý®ÊÓƵ main campus, no changes will be made. Examinations will continue to be scheduled centrally, with no additional costs.
These changes are being introduced to accommodate ongoing budget constraints and to align with standard practices across the sector. For more information, visit the Final examination arrangements for online courses web page.
