Our Parking Lots

Please note: The rate information provided captures rates in effect from May 1, 2025, to April 30, 2026.

Sustainable Transportation operates 21 parking lots on campus, with specific space for employees, students, and visitors. There are 5550 parking spaces on campus.Ìý

Below are all of the University of À¶Ý®ÊÓƵ controlled parking lots and their descriptions.ÌýÌý

Staff/faculty lotsÌý

Permits are sold to faculty and staff if space is available in the following lots:Ìý

Gated lots (by transponder)Ìý

  • A, H, L, O (staff) R, and TÌý

Ungated lotsÌý

  • B, K, UWP, Q, and XÌý

Health Sciences Campus, Kitchener

  • Lot 3

The cost of parking is $54.89 plus taxes ($62.00) per month for full-time employees or contract employees (minimum 6-month period) - this includes motorcycle parking.ÌýÌý

Student permit lotsÌý

Permits can be purchased for fall, winter, and spring and are valid for use in lots C, N, W, or X.Ìý

The cost of parking is $208.50 ($235.61) for the Spring term.

Fall 2025 and Winter 2026 term rate: $216.00 per term plus taxes ($243.85)

Parking is not guaranteed in any specific lot, and if one lot is full students will need to travel to an alternate lot.ÌýÌý

Resident lotsÌý

The cost of parking is $208.50 Spring 2025 term; Fall 2025 and Winter 2026 term rate: $216.00 (taxes do not apply to residence permits).Ìý

Students living in residence are only eligible to purchase a resident parking permit or an unreserved permit (not both).Ìý

All students living in a university residence can purchase a permit for the following lots: J, S, V, T, UWP, or Columbia Lake Village-North and South.Ìý

Visitor lotsÌý

Visitor parking is available in a number of locations across campus in gated lots by using the .ÌýÌý

  • Lots ÌýB (marked visitor spots at Eng 6), C, CLV, J, N, Q, S, V, W, X, and Toby Jenkins lot: $7.25Ìýper dayÌý

  • Lot M: $9.35Ìýper dayÌý

  • Optometry (visitor), Physical Activities Centre/À¶Ý®ÊÓƵ Centre, South Campus Hall, University Club, Davis Centre/General Services Complex, RAC, Village 1 lots (west and east cul-de-sac): $3.10Ìýper hour ($10 max)Ìý

  • Health Sciences Campus, Kitchener: $7.25 per dayÌý

The following lots* are available as visitor lots Monday – Friday after 4:30 p.m. and on weekends:Ìý

  • Lot A: $3.10Ìýper hour (max $10.35) Currently unavailable during construction.Ìý
  • Lot B: $7.25Ìýper day
  • Lot D: $3.10Ìýper hour (max $21.75)**Ìý
  • Lot H: $3.10 per hour (max $14.50)** during non-co-op days. Available after 6:00 p.m.ÌýÌý
  • Lot R: $3.10 per hour (max $21.75)ÌýÌý
