The Office of Research is the university's central point connecting scientists on campus or those associated with À¶Ý®ÊÓÆµ to opportunities for funding and services, including commercialization. Office of Research staff support researchers through the many phases of research including ethics reviewÌý²¹²Ô»å managing funds.
Research is an integral and intensive area at À¶Ý®ÊÓÆµ. In 2023-2024, À¶Ý®ÊÓÆµÂ attracted more than $259.9 million from public and private sources to fund research across a spectrum of challenges. À¶Ý®ÊÓÆµ's strength in research excellence is supported by partnerships with industry, creating opportunities that generate new knowledge and further Canada's economy.

Distinguished researcher received inaugural Killam NRC Paul Corkum Fellowship
Distinguished professor, Dr. Linda Nazar, was awarded the prestigious Killam NRC Paul Corkum Fellowship and will accelerate research on new and potentially disruptive battery technologies, aligning it with the NRC's Critical Battery Materials Initiative.
