The University of À¶Ý®ÊÓÆµ has a strong commitment to increasing equity, diversity, inclusionÌýand supporting decolonization, Indigenization and reconciliation in all facets of its operations and to remove barriers to achieving an equitable academic, research and campus environment. In support of this goal, and in alignment with the Inclusive Research Implementation StrategyÌý2022-2025, the Research Equity, DiversityÌýand Inclusion (REDI) Council provides strategic advice to the Inclusive Research Team in the office of the Vice President, Research and International (VPRI) on ways to meaningfully embed equity, diversityÌýand inclusion (EDI) strategies into the research ecosystem at the University of À¶Ý®ÊÓÆµ.ÌýÌý
REDI Council consists of representatives from all Faculties atÌýÀ¶Ý®ÊÓÆµ, bringing together diverse lived experiences and inclusive research expertise. The REDI Council provides strategic advice including but not limited to, directions and objectives for the Inclusive Research Team, ways to support faculty members in embedding EDI into their research and team environment, and the Canada Research Chair Equity, DiversityÌýand Inclusion Action Plan and associated projects, and are invited to share information about EDI initiatives taking place in the Faculties.
