Bryden Memorial Award for academic excellence in 3rd year

The Bryden Award was named in honour of Professor Philip Bryden, a cognitive neuroscientist with interests in brain laterality and handedness.Ìý He served as Editor of the Canadian Journal of Psychology and was one of the founding Editors in 1996 of the journal Laterality.Ìý Professor Bryden was elected Fellow of the Royal Society of Canada in 1992.

Walters Memorial Award for academic excellence in 4th year

The Walters Memorial Award was named in honour of Professor Richard H. Walters, the founding Chair of the Department of Psychology and an eminent scholar in the fields of child development and social psychology.

Currie Scholarship Award for the top graduating student in Psychology

The Currie Award is based on one of the oldest donations in the university and records from that era do not provide much detail about who gave the award or why, only that it was designated for a Psychology undergraduate student.
