The À¶Ý®ÊÓƵ School of Pharmacy implemented a mass vaccination clinic for COVID-19 immunization in 2021.

With many multidisciplinary teams working together in an environment not built for such a complex clinical system, researchers at the University of À¶Ý®ÊÓƵ created an app to support front-line workers. The app streamlined information flow to help solve logistical challenges that arose.

With the health-care system rapidly changing across Canada, in 2020 À¶Ý®ÊÓƵ School of Pharmacy examined its PharmD curriculum to identify ways to offer students a more cohesive experience for a dynamic practice environment. The new changes were implemented earlier this year to prepare students for the changes in the profession with the rest rolling out in the coming years.

À¶Ý®ÊÓƵ School of Pharmacy researchers have found that in patients with type-2 diabetes experiencing severe hypoglycaemic events, where blood glucose levels fall below normal to potentially dangerous levels leading to either a hospitalization or physician visit, is consistently linked with the development of dementia.
