Program & Administrative Requirements

2. Submit an application to graduate

In your final academic term, you must complete theApplication to Graduateform in Quest or through an online webform.Apply to graduateapproximately one month prior to the completion of your degree requirements.

Those that degree complete:

  • September 1 – April 30will be eligible for spring Convocation
  • May 1 – August 31will be eligible forfall Convocation

3. Fees Owing

Please ensure that you have all course fees, library fees, parking fines, etc. paid by the end of your finalterm to ensure your diploma is in your graduation folder when you cross the stage to accept it.

To determine if you have other fees owing, checkQuestunder 'Personal Data'and select 'Service Indicators.' Please see theQuesthelpdeskfor further details.

4. Verify your degree status

Check your unofficial transcript on quest to ensure you have been recommended to graduate in the “Degrees Awarded” section.

5. Confirm Name and Address

Confirm your mailing address, home address, and email addresses onQuestbyMay 1stfor spring convocation andSeptember 1stfor fall convocation. This step ensures you receive your convocation invitation and information regarding tax receipts.

6. Ordering transcripts

Official undergraduate transcript requestsare processed by The Centre.

Other Things To Consider Before You Graduate

  1. Take your

    • Portrait sessions for students in theClass of 2026 are now open.Students must get their photos taken by mid-February in order to be included in the Class of 2026 composite.
      • Students in Class of 2026 are classified as students who are completing their degree during the Fall 2025, Winter 2026, and Spring 2026 terms.
    • Portrait sessions are arranged and managed directly byNewschool Photography. The University of ݮƵ administration, including the Faculty of Math, is not involved. If you have questions about the portraitsession process, please email Newschool Photography directly athelp@newschoolphotography.com.
  2. Nominate a Valedictorian

    • Nominations for the June 2025 convocation have now closed. Please note, there are no undergraduate student valedictorians for Fall Convocation (October).
    • Nominations for the Class of 2026 valedictorians at the June 2026 convocation ceremony will open in January 2026.
  3. Sit on the Valedictorian Selection Committee

    • Applications for the selection committee have now closed and will reopen in January 2026 for the selection of the Class of 2026 Valedictorians.
  4. Looking to get involved with your graduating class?

    • Consider taking part in the. The MGC organizes events for graduating students in the Mathematics Faculty such as the Math Grad Ball.

Plan For Convocation

The University of ݮƵ community gathers in June and October each year to celebrate the awarding of degrees at convocation. Ceremonies for Faculty of Mathematics graduating students are held in the main gymnasium of the Physical Activities Complex (PAC). In June, we hold three ceremonies to accommodate all of our graduating students; they begin at 10:00am, 2:30pm, and 6:30pm. In October, Math Faculty convocation ceremonies usually take place at 10:00 am only.

Class of 2026 Graduation Newsletter

The graduation newsletter is sent to 4th and 5th year students in the Faculty of Mathematics who may be completing their degree requirements in Fall 2025 or Winter/Spring 2026.
