If you're interested in becoming a teacher, you have lots of options at À¶Ý®ÊÓƵ!
A À¶Ý®ÊÓƵ degree and then teacher's college
There are many undergraduate programs in the faculties of Arts, Environment, Health, Mathematics, and Science that are great choices for careers in teaching. Subjects include science, math, social sciences, humanities, languages, performing arts, geography and environmental studies, and more.
Do you need a second teachable?
If you're thinking of teaching at the intermediate or senior level (generally Grades 7 through 12), you'll normally need a second subject that you can teach. As a university student, you'll have a major (which is the main focus of your studies). You can then include courses in other subjects as your second teachable.
As you finish your À¶Ý®ÊÓƵ degree or once you've graduated, you can apply to a Faculty of Education (teacher's college) and pursue a career in teaching after completing a degree in many of these programs.
