Program updates

  • ±·±ð·É:ÌýMedical Sciences (À¶Ý®ÊÓÆµ) and Doctor of Medicine (SGU) program
    • For the first time in Canada, high school students now have a direct route to medical school. Students admitted to the program will be guaranteed a spot at the School of Medicine at St. George's University (SGU) in Grenada,Ìýearning their Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree within six years of finishing high school. 

  • Two majors within the Faculty of Arts have updated their names to better reflect course content and research in those areas.
  • The Biotechnology/CPA program has been renamed and updated to Science and Financial Management (ScFM).
    • Students will select one science-focused specialization (Biotechnology; Earth and Water Science; Physics of Systems and Energy) and one accounting/finance specialization (Business Analytics; Financial Markets; Professional Accountant).
  • Information Technology Management is now available as a major through the Mathematics entry program. 
  • Students can no longer co-register with Renison University College and the main À¶Ý®ÊÓÆµ campus. Students pursuing Honours Arts and Business and Honours Arts can continue to co-register with St. Jerome's University.

Admissions changes

  • The Knowledge Integration undergraduate program is pausing admissions for 2026.
  • Applicants can now apply to either Accounting and Financial Management or Sustainability and Financial Management, but not both. Students will be able to choose one or the other on their OUAC application.
    • Students can still apply to Science and Financial Management and/or Computing and Financial Management in addition to AFM or SFM.
  • Students can no longer apply directly to Social Development Studies; however, it remains a popular major within Honours Arts and Business and Honours Arts.
  • Geography and Aviation and Science and Aviation both now require the Admission Information Form as part of the application process. The Aviation Language Proficiency Demonstration (ALPD) is required for Permanent Residents and international students.
