Four À¶Ý®ÊÓÆµ Engineering researchers have been awarded close to $5Ìý³¾¾±±ô±ô¾±´Ç²Ô through the Canada Research Chairs (CRC) Program to support transformative research.
Among the recipients are À¶Ý®ÊÓÆµ Engineering professors Dr. Duane Cronin, Dr. David Fortin, Dr. Evelyn YimÌý²¹²Ô»å Dr. Mahla Poudineh.Ìý
Cronin, a mechanical and mechatronics engineering professor, was named Tier 1 CRC in Trauma Biomechanics and Injury Prevention for his work on computational human body models.
Fortin, an architecture professor, was appointed Tier 1 CRC in Critical Relationalism and Design to integrate Indigenous-defined perspectives into architectural design.
Yim, a chemical engineering professor, received a Tier 1 CRC in Nanomaterials for Regenerative Medicine for her research on engineered biomaterials.
Poudineh, an electrical and computer engineering professor, was named Tier 2 CRC in Health Monitoring BioNano Devices for her work on biosensing and diagnostic devices.
