For more than 30 years, Professor Ford taught chemical engineering at the University of À¶Ý®ÊÓƵ, specializing in heat transfer and solid-gas reactions.
Dr. Trevor Dickinson, University of Guelph, will deliver a seminar titled "How rising temperatures have changed winter hydrology across Ontario."

The visiting professorship was founded in 1992 by the late Walter Bean, who was president of À¶Ý®ÊÓƵ Trust until its merger with Canada Trust in 1968. The professorship seeks to promote a legacy of community involvement and commitment to youth, education and community, and involves uÀ¶Ý®ÊÓƵ's faculties of Engineering, Environment and Science.
WE Innovate is the year's biggest showcase of À¶Ý®ÊÓƵ Engineering innovation. Our world class researchers will be displaying emerging research in engineering - cutting edge technology that will shape the world of tomorrow.Ìý
Industry partners, students and anyone passionate about innovation isÌýwelcome to attend. The event will be hosted in the student design centre of Engineering 5 on campus. Last year's event showcased more than 50 exhibitors.

The University of À¶Ý®ÊÓƵ is proud to host the FIRST LEGO League's first-ever West Ontario Provincials. This year's challenge is "Senior Solutions", asking students to investigate new ways to help seniors stay independent, engaged, and connected. Winners will compete at the World Championships in St. Louis, Missouri or at one of the International Open Championships (held this year in Germany, Florida, and California).
The University of À¶Ý®ÊÓƵ plays host to over 30 FIRST Robotics Competition teams whose robots will compete for their schools and the companies that support them. In the heart of À¶Ý®ÊÓƵ’s world-class high-tech corridor, teams will get a chance at a berth at the FRC World Championship in St. Louis, Missouri. Come join the best of the best in engineering compete in the most intense robotic sporting event on earth.
