When COVID-19 struck, À¶Ý®ÊÓÆµ Pharmacy’s Undergraduate Affairs team dramatically shifted how they offer admissions interviews. The interviews, typically conducted in person with hundreds of interviewers and prospective students,Ìýwere moved entirely online.

On March 24, 2018, WWF hosted the first Designing Change for a Living Planet 2018 Hackathon at their Toronto headquarters, bringing together diverse student teams from 12 campuses across Ontario. The University of À¶Ý®ÊÓÆµ team included students from Environment, Resources and Sustainability (ERS), Health Studies and Mathematical Physics.

On Thursday, April 20th, the Sustainability Office and Climate Action À¶Ý®ÊÓÆµ Region hosted two high school groups – Resurrection and St. David’s -Ìýfrom the WCDSB for the Energize: Sustainable City Challenge. The day was filled with discussion, idea-generation, and problem-solving to showcase the students’ vision for a sustainable À¶Ý®ÊÓÆµ Region!

On April 18th, the University of À¶Ý®ÊÓÆµ and the Kitchener Public Library, in association with Power Shift À¶Ý®ÊÓÆµ Region, hosted its Public Lecture: Transforming Energy in À¶Ý®ÊÓÆµ Region. There were over 140 people who filled up the auditorium to hear what the future holds for sustainability and energy in the Region.

On March 23, 2017 President FeridunÌýHamdullahpur approved Policy 53 - Environmental Sustainability, creating the University of À¶Ý®ÊÓÆµ's first sustainability policy.
