The first Energize: Sustainable City Challenge is being held at the University of À¶Ý®ÊÓƵ as part of Power Shift À¶Ý®ÊÓƵ Region and Climate Action À¶Ý®ÊÓƵ Region. Around 30 students across the Region of À¶Ý®ÊÓƵ will be selected to attend this innovative workshop to showcase their vision for a sustainable city, while keeping in mind the challenges we face with climate change
At this event, students will:
- Learn about real-world local energy and sustainability issues
- Have the opportunity to network with other students, sustainability leaders, and workshop mentors
- Gain a hands-on and interactive experience dealing with current challenges regarding climate change, energy, and sustainability
- Be given resources to incorporate sustainable behaviour changes and actions in their daily lives
Climate Action À¶Ý®ÊÓƵ Region has partnered with the Office of Sustainability to host this event to get more youth engaged on topics of energy, sustainability and climate change. Stay tuned for a list of schools that will be represented at the Energize: Sustainable City Challenge.
