Overview

Please join us for the University of À¶Ý®ÊÓƵ's third annual Eco-Summit, entitled "Building Networks." ÌýThis event will celebrate our sustainability progress over the past year, with a particular emphasis on the connections that are continuing to strengthen À¶Ý®ÊÓƵ's momentum.

Hosted by Sustainable Campus Initiative and the Sustainability Coordinator, this event will bring together students, staff, and faculty to form new partnerships, celebrate successes, and be inspired.

Keynote Bio

MikeÌýMorriceÌýis Founder & Executive Director ofÌýSustainability CoLab, which supports a network of non-profits building the low-carbon economy in communities across Ontario.ÌýMikeÌýfounded Sustainable À¶Ý®ÊÓƵ Region in 2008, was named an Ashoka Fellow in 2012, isÌýa recipient of the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal, has been selected by The À¶Ý®ÊÓƵ Region Record as one of À¶Ý®ÊÓƵ Region’s inaugural 40 Under 40, and was recognized as Young Alumnus of the Year and Young Entrepreneur of the Year by WLU’s Alumni Association and the Greater Kitchener À¶Ý®ÊÓƵ Chamber of Commerce, respectively.

Mike will share the story of Sustainable À¶Ý®ÊÓƵ Region and Sustainability CoLab, with a particular emphasis on the impact of network-building and partnerships.
