Water is emerging as an increasingly potent focus of politicalÌýcontestation in communities all around the globe. Wellington County, Ontario, is no exception even though – unlike many places where water is a issue of contentionÌý–Ìýmost people in Wellington County have reliable access to as muchÌýsafe, clean, affordable water as they need. In this presentation I will share findings of my research on howÌýwater activism has evolvedÌýin Wellington CountyÌýandÌýwhat is driving it, and engage those in attendance in a discussion of next steps and opportunities for involvement in the local water justice movement.
