The University of À¶Ý®ÊÓƵ is committed to the safety of its students, faculty, and staff as they travel to undertake research. À¶Ý®ÊÓƵ International provides resources and support to those travelling abroad. 

Requirements for conducting international research

  • Review the À¶Ý®ÊÓƵ guidelines on international trave±ô.Ìý
  • ³§³Ü²ú³¾¾±³ÙÌýFieldwork travel and risk management forms to the Safety Office.
  • Refer to the guidelines on . A country, outside of North America, may have regulations for conducting research by foreign researchers. 
  • Determine if there are any regulations and respond to these requirements. For example, you may need to:
    • have a collaborator within the country
    • submit a research ethics application to a government agency (which can take several months)
    • obtain a research visa
