A CIHR Commercialization Peer Review Committee Information Session is planned for Thursday June 23, 2022, from 12:00 pm to 1:30 pm EDT. The purpose of this session is to give potential applicants to the Commercialization Peer Review Committee of the CIHR Project Grant program (CMZ) an opportunity to hear first-hand about the committee ‘culture’: what aspects are generally well-received by reviewers in CMZ, what factors are considered more important than others, how the committee’s mandate is interpreted, what types of proposals are transferred to or from other committees.

This online workshop, led by Robert Laurie, customer success manager at Ex Libris, will provide University of ��ݮ��Ƶ faculty members and graduate students with an overview of key features of Pivot-RP, a searchable database of research funding opportunities.

Dr. Tyrrell is a distinguished professor at the University of Alberta with major interests in the prevention and treatment of viral diseases. His multi-faceted career in academic medicine, virology, pharmaceutical enterprise and dedicated advocacy for health research in Canada are being honoured with the 2021 Henry G.

Dr. Jeff Latimer, the director of the Health Statistics Branch at Statistics Canada (StatCan), will break down how to engage and collaborate with StatCan to get access to their timely and relevant data on the health of Canadians.
