Faculty members, staff (i.e., Research staff, Safety Office staff, Research Ethics staff, and Information Systems & Technology staff involved in research using biological, chemical, radiological, or nuclear materials or technology) and students are invited to join Public Safety Canada (PSC) for the Safeguarding science workshop.

��ݮ��Ƶ faculty, staff and students are invited to attend the Friesen lecture featuring Dr. David Lorne J. Tyrrell, recipient of the . Dr. Tyrrell is a distinguished professor at the University of Alberta with major interests in the prevention and treatment of viral diseases. His multi-faceted career in academic medicine, virology, pharmaceutical enterprise and dedicated advocacy for health research in Canada are being honoured with the 2021 Henry G.

The Institutional Research Data Management (RDM) Strategy town hall will take place on Monday, November 21 at 10 a.m. as a hybrid event in EC5 1111 (Enterprise Theatre) and via Microsoft Teams.

The ��ݮ��Ƶ Climate Institute is pleased to present “Understanding Canada’s National Adaptation Strategy”, a virtual panel �Dz���April 27th at 2:00pm that will explore the strategy and how it positions Canada to increase our resiliency to climate impacts.

You’re invited to the health data seminar on October 26 from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. to learn about opportunities to improve your access to health data. Dr. Jeff Latimer, the director of the Health Statistics Branch at Statistics Canada (StatCan), will break down how to engage and collaborate with StatCan to get access to their timely and relevant data on the health of Canadians.

��ݮ��Ƶ faculty members, staff and students are invited to the health data seminar "Better data. Better decisions. Healthier Canadians," with special guest, Brent Diverty, on Thursday, February 8, 2024, from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. in EC5 room 1111. Brent Diverty, Vice-President, Data Strategies and Statistics at CIHI, will introduce the important and rich information available at CIHI, share progress being made in Canada towards better health data, and discuss working with CIHI data as a researcher or partner.

CBB is hosting a virtual talk with Eric Luvisotto, Technology Transfer Manager, WatCo, on the basics of Intellectual Property (IP) protection titled: IP 101 & Commercialization. This talk will be held over Zoom on March 25, 2024, from 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.

The next virtual Pivot-RP workshop for faculty members and graduate students is scheduled for Friday, April 5 from 1 to 2:30 p.m. via MS Teams.
