°Õ³ó±ðÌýLiving Room (REN1108) is your space to sit, to talk, to re-charge. The door is open usually seven days a week, and coffee and tea are always available for students, friends of Renison, visitors, faculty, and staff.

Hospitality: the needs of the body, the mind, and the spirit are intertwined. You'll find a welcome for all of those at the Ministry Centre - we invite you to come and visit us in the home of the Chaplain and Student Experience & Housing!

THE CHAPLAIN

The Renison chaplain is an Anglican priest who is responsible for the spiritual and pastoral care for the college, as well as the wider university.

Spiritual care includes:

  • offering worship services 
  • acting as a spiritual director 
  • helping students and staff ask faith questions 
  • valuing our spiritual lives 

Pastoral care includes:

  • being a listening ear 
  • a 'safe' person to talk to 
  • supporting people as they live through life's struggles 
  • connecting people to other resources when necessary

ST. BEDE'S CHAPEL

Scheduled Gatherings:

The Ecclesiastical Province of Ontario has cancelled all corporate worship services and church gatherings effective Sunday March 15. This means that there are currently NO worship services scheduled at St. Bede's.

We have moved chapel serices online on  - join us! 

The Chapel is open 24 hours a day (for Renison residents) and may be used as a quiet place for prayer or meditation. It is accessible for anyone living elsewhere whenever the college is open. In addition to this, by booking with the Chaplain, it is available to musicians or musical groups as practice space, or by other groups for any purpose consistent with its basic nature as a place of worship and prayer. A schedule of bookings is posted each term outside the chapel.

St. Bede's Chapel is located on the 2nd floor of the  Luxton Building at the west end of the Great Hall (near the Residence Office.) You can also enter directly from the upper parking lot. Current information on chapel services and events can be found in the Facebook group "St. Bede's Chapel". If inclement weather necessitates cancelling worship, this will be posted on the Facebook group as well as noted on the chaplain's voice-mail (519-884-4404 ext. 28604)

You can access our prayer list . Note: requests are removed after 4 weeks in order to keep it current. You are of course welcome to return and add the request should the situation still require intense prayer.
