Sanjeev Bedi, a professor of mechanical and mechatronics (MME) engineering, who has a deep belief in the power of experiential education, is the 2022 winner of a Medal of Distinction in Engineering Education awarded at a gala in Toronto this week by Engineers Canada.

Four friends and Mechatronics Engineering students at the University of À¶Ý®ÊÓƵ – Matt Rendall (BASc ’08, MBET ’09), Ryan Gariepy (BASc ’09, MASc ’12), Pat Martinson (BASc ’09), and Bryan Webb (BASc ’09) – started building robots 13 years ago.

Mohammed Nassar, lecturer in the Department of Mechanical and Mechatronics Engineering, has won the following teaching excellence awards:
