The new Math Undergraduate Group (MUG) was formed to bring a new focus on undergraduate teaching. It’s an innovation in the Faculty of Mathematics and helps deliver the kind of teaching and learning experience that is truly transformative for students. We caught up with Sean Speziale, the Director of MUG, to learn more.

The Golden Jubilee Research Excellence Award provides $2,500 to one or two early or mid-career faculty in the Faculty of Mathematics, in recognition of “the outstanding research contributions of our colleagues.”
Sivaloganathan is the twelfth recipient of the annual award, which recognizes “exceptional research in any area of industrial mathematics conducted in Canada.”
Consultations are underway to develop the new Math Strategic Framework, which will inform decisions and guide activity in support of Faculty of Mathematics goals.
Currently, the Math Planning Office is sharing themes that emerged during the initial consultations and inviting students, faculty and staff to participate in a survey to reflect on and help focus the new Strategic Framework.
