The University of ݮƵhasan experienced and dedicated team of Regulated Canadian Immigration Consultants (RCICs)who are licensed with the College of Immigration and Citizenship Consultants (CICC). The consultants are happy to assist you during your time at university. All consultations are free and confidential. The consultants discusswith one another, butdo not share yourinformation with anyone else on or off campuswithout your permission.

To be given immigration advice at a virtualor in-person appointment, or by email, you needto provide electronic copies of your:

  • Passport
  • Study permit or study permit approval letter
  • Temporary resident visa (Canada visa in passport)or Electronic Travel Authorization (eTA) approval
  • Work permit (if you have one)

3. Set immigration reminders for yourself in Portal

It is extremely important that you always have valid status in Canada and don’t let your documents expire. Use the tool inUݮƵ Portal (web version)to track your passport, study permit, and work permit expiry dates. Reminder emails will be sent out at key intervals to help you stay on track and toprovide relevant resources. Follow these steps:

  1. Select yourprofile icon in the top right corner
  2. Enable "International Status"
  3. Click "Portal" to navigate back to your home dashboard
  4. Look for the "Immigration Reminders" tile on your dashboard
  5. Add reminders for your immigration documents (e.g. study permit)

How to book an immigration consulting appointment

You should bookif:

  • You would like to speak to a consultantone-on-one.
  • You have prepared your application to the best of your ability, but you have questions or concerns about it that you would like to discuss with a consultant.
  • You are concernedyourcircumstances couldnegatively affect your study permitstatus in Canada or complicateanapplication.

Appointment hours:

Immigration consulting appointments are now offered remotely (via Microsoft Teams or phone) and inperson.

Same-day appointments:Monday to Friday from10:00 a.m.- 4:00 p.m.. Follow theseeasy steps:
