Celebrate Indigenous History Month and Pride Month with the Office of Indigenous Relations (OIR) and theÌýKeeping Well at Work (KW@W) programÌýat a special event featuring Kairyn (Kai) Potts—a Two-Spirit Nakota Sioux storyteller, advocate, and content creator.
Kai Potts will share his journey as a Two-Spirit youth advocate and digital media creator, exploring the intersections of Indigenous identity, gender, sexuality, and mental health. Through storytelling, lived experience, and cultural teachings, Kai offers powerful insights into the ongoing impacts of colonization on 2SLGBTQ+ Indigenous people and the importance of reclaiming Two-Spirit identities within community healing and resistance.
The afternoon will inspire reflection on visibility, resilience, and the role of youth in leading transformational change. Participants will come away with a deeper understanding of Two-Spirit identity, its cultural significance, and how we can support safer, more inclusive spaces for Indigenous and 2SLGBTQ+ communities.
