
The Graduate Studies Endowment Fund (GSEF) at the University of À¶Ý®ÊÓÆµ was created by a graduate student referendum in 2001-2002 for the purpose of "funding an on-going commitment to enhance the learning, research, and overall experience of graduate students at the University."

GSEF Recruiting for Various Roles for September 2025
GSEF is looking to hire various roles on campus. If interested in applying, please visit Current Openings tab for more information.
- Vice-coordinator for student engagement: Propose new initiatives to the board that will improve the social and/or academic experience of grad students.
- Faculty of Environment representative: Join the Project Review Committee and offer your unique perspectives and experiences by helping to review student-led project applications and make funding recommendations.
- Faculty of Math representative: Join the Project Review Committee and offer your unique perspectives and experiences by helping to review student-led project applications and make funding recommendations. Two positions are available.
- Faculty of Health representative: Join the Project Review Committee and offer your unique perspectives and experiences by helping to review student-led project applications and make funding recommendations.
- Faculty of Art representative: Join the Project Review Committee and offer your unique perspectives and experiences by helping to review student-led project applications and make funding recommendations.

GSEF is looking to hire a new Coordinator to lead the Project Review Committee and Board meetings, develop new initiatives to address graduate student needs, and carry out the day-to-day affairs of GSEF. Please see the Coordinator Job Description for more details.

GSEF Spotlight: Supporting GRADflix and Graduate Student Storytelling
GRADflix 2025, supported by GSEF and organized by Graduate Studies and Postdoctoral Affairs (GSPA), invited graduate students to create one-minute videos showcasing their research. Held in person at Federation Hall, the event highlighted creativity and interdisciplinary impact, drawing over 200 attendees and 3,300+ online views.

GSEF at Winter 2025 Grad Ready!
To welcome new and returning students back on campus, the Student Success Office (SSO) held a Winter 2025 Grad Ready Services Fair at the À¶Ý®ÊÓÆµ Centre with a self-guided icebreaker for students. GSEF set up a booth to meet new graduate students and provide free timbits!
