
GSEF Spotlight: Supporting GRADflix and Graduate Student Storytelling
GSEF is proud to support initiatives that showcase the incredible work of our graduate students—and GRADflix 2025 delivered just that. This annual competition, organized by Graduate Studies and Postdoctoral Affairs (GSPA), challenges students to distill their research into compelling one-minute videos that bring complex ideas to a wide audience.Ìý
On February 4, 2025, the GRADflix showcase returned in person at Federation Hall. Students, faculty, staff, and families gathered to celebrate the creativity and impact of graduate research spanning all six faculties.
Building Skills, Building Community
The 2024–2025 competition launched early in the fall with comprehensive support designed to help students succeed, including:Ìý

Workshops led by GSPA, the Writing and Communication Centre (WCC), and the Library.Ìý

One-on-one consultations through the WCC to help students refine their submissions.Ìý
